Today’s session could very well have been called “How many times can we get K/K and have an ace hit the flop?” The answer to that is 100% of the time. Including one time when two aces hit the flop. I had to fold to an all-in on the turn on that one. I think the guy put me on a flush draw… Whatever.

The funny part is, I didn’t win a single hand with K/K, and I lost to the same player each time I had K/K. Crazy. But, I was able to get my money back from him later with this hand:

I was in early position and raised with 8/8. I get 1 caller. The flop comes A/8/3 with two hearts. I check/call the flop. The turn is a blank and I check again. He bets and I decide to min-raise. I’m hoping that it looks weak. It did and he took the bait. He pushes all-in and I insta-call. He has A/Q. He hits a Q on the river but it’s far too late. He was drawing dead after the turn.

That was about it. Nothing else all that exciting happened. This was a pretty juicy table with two showdown muppets and a calling station. Wish I could have stayed longer.
